Baby Naming Ceremonies ~
Naming ceremonies are a beautiful non-denominational way of "blessing" a child and welcoming them, officially, to their new community. I do this in a number of ways, again working closely with the family to create something personal and lovely. Often this ceremony takes place around the baby's first birthday.

“We weren’t sure how to go about celebrating our kiddos ~ we aren’t religious so the idea of a “christening” wasn’t for us. So when we learned we could have a non-denominational naming ceremony, we decided to do one for both of our boys at the same time (aged 2 months and 3 years). Sacha expertly guided us through the planning stages, understanding we were still in baby brain mode which we appreciated! And on the day she officiated something so lovely. Instead of god-parents we had “fairy” godparents. Everyone who attended brought a special stone or rock or some of their local sand which we used to make a circle that our little family stood within that. And we were able to include letters from those unable to be there but who will play an important role in the lives of our boys. . The occasion was full of so much love, laughter and happy tears.
